But You Still Support Obama?

Let me see if I understand this right, you profess that you are a Christian and love God and His Word but you also support President Obama for re-election who has openly endorsed homosexual marriage and has gone as far as to even celebrate it by making the month of June LGBT Pride Month, but God's Word says they "have committed an abomination;" (Leviticus 20:13) and that it's unnatural (Romans 1:26-27) and those who practice such things are "wicked" and "will not inherit the kingdom of God?" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), but you still support Obama? Barack Obama is also the most pro-abortion President ever to hold office. He even refused to support the Born Alive Infant Protection Act which would have protected innocent children born in the process of an abortion from being killed after birth which shouldn't bother a pro-abortionist who has no problem murdering a baby in the womb. But the Bible says that God "hates... hands that shed innocent blood," (Proverbs 8:16-17), but you still support Obama? But some still say that they are voting for Obama because they believe “he is better for the economy” (a ridiculous statement IMHO); remember my Christian friend that "the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10) and if that is your primary reason for voting for Obama then your love of money has blinded you to the more pressing issues affecting our nation. Now I am not trying to tell you how to vote but if you remain committed to President Obama then please stop calling yourself a Christian because no true Christian could ever endorse such sinful behavior with a clear conscience which God has clearly condemned in His Word. My final word to professing Christian Obama supporters is “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,” (Isaiah 5:20) for you will be held accountable to God on judgment day for supporting a man who’s tract record is clearly opposed to the will of the Living God.

What Christians Taught Me On FaceBook

Today the Christian landscape can be very confusing especially if your on facebook, just this week alone I have been taught that I can "give God control", but the Bible says "He does according to His will in the Host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off His hand or say to Him, "What hast Thou done" (Daniel 4:35). I've also been taught that I need to "trust myself", but the Bible says to "lean not unto thine own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5) because my "heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:8-10). It also seems that being "happy" is now the greatest virtue a Christian can obtain, but the Bible says "Be ye holy; for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16) I know it's hard to believe but apparently there is "no absolute truth", wait a minute that's an absolute statement. Some Christians are teaching that we are "all children of God" but Jesus said "Ye are of your father the devil" (John 8:44). I've noticed that cussing and drinking have become very popular within some Christian circles but the Bible says "From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so" (James 3:10) and that "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1). Christians also seem to think we are all good people, but the Bible says "none is good" (Luke 18:19) and Jesus called us "evil" (Matthew 7:11). Success and self-esteem are popular topics among Christians today as well but the success they speak of is a path to a worldly success not the Joshua 1:8 path and self-esteem is not the solution it's the problem for it is the very essence of unbelief and pride. And the number one thing that Christians promote on facebook more than any other is "judge not" (John 7:1) but the Bible also says to "judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24). So the message I hear coming from Christians today is that "I'm in control, I can do it, do what ever makes me happy, I'm a good person, trust myself and I'll have success and feel good about myself, never make judgments and God will be pleased with me." Folks that's the same message of the world and Christians are now so drunk with this false gospel that they actually hate messages like this one that expose it's lies. "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light" (John 3:20).

Give Me a Break

With all the excitement this week of the new President taking the reins and many Christians standing tall having one of our (so-called) own deliver the Inaugural Prayer. I doubt that very few noticed the very subtle but devious push toward an all inclusive faith.

This prayer deeply offends me as my lost child who is a practicing Muslim and who believes in the Koran and the false Jesus it calls Isa. I would just like to ask Mr. Warren how I am supposed to reconcile the Christ of the Bible with the christ (aka Isa) of the Koran which he prayed too, to my oldest son now that he has seen a Southern Baptist preacher endorse both before the entire world?

Are You Experienced?

Do What You Want

God has a will for your life. We know that. If God has a will for your life, he wants you to know it. That's obvious. And if he wants you to know it, then be sure of this, he didn't hide it. It's not tucked obscurely under some convoluted interpretation of scripture. It's not left to some transcendental experience of intuition. It's not dependant upon some private, personal angelic delivery. It's not ever dependant upon some serendipitous coincidence. If God has a will, and he does, if he wants you to know it, and he does, and he holds you responsible for it, and he does, then you can be sure he didn't hide it. He would place it in the most obvious place. And the most obvious place would be his word. You can know the will of God for your life from scripture. And it's unmistakable, absolutely unmistakable.

God's Will

1. It is God's will that you be saved. "This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our savior who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." God's will is that you be saved.

2. It is God's will that you be Spirit filled. "understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit" Ephesians 5:17-18

3. It is God's will that you be sanctified. "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;" 1 Thessalonians 4:3

4. It is God's will that you be submissive "For such is the will of God." 1 Peter 2:15

5. It is God's will that you suffer. "It is better if God should will it so that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong." 1 Peter 3:17

6. It is God's will that you be thankful. "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" 1 Thessalonians 5:18

7. Now there is one last principle in doing God's will, you ready? If you're saved, spirit-filled, sanctified, submissive, suffering and thankful - Then do whatever you want. Marry whoever you want. Go wherever you want. Work wherever you want. Choose whatever you want. You say, "Whoa. Are you sure?" Absolutely. Because if the first six principles are true of your life, guess who's controlling your wants? Do whatever you want.

Christians Hating the Gospel?

If you haven't been over to the Law Man Chronicles and read the post titled "They Loved The Darkness Rather Than The Light", prepare yourself for the unbelievable. Be sure to watch the video's that go along with this event... Shocking!

In light of what took place at this event, I too have noticed a trend with myself as it seems that I am spending more time witnessing to professing Christians than those who deny Christ? The sad thing is they both respond the same way, negatively.

Fine White Linen

I heard David Miller (country preacher at large) quote this from memory and I don't know if he wrote it or if he quoted it from someone else but I wanted to share it, if anyone knows the source please let me know. I have tried to transcribe it the best that I could so it may not be exact, but what a wonderful picture of God's Grace!

Revelation 19:8 "Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear."

I saw a poor poor woman and clothed in rags was she
So full of dark uncleanness and foul impurities
With wounds and bruises grievous and sins of crimson red
A stench to God Almighty with interest passing death
Unrighteous sinful rags was all she had to wear

I saw the king of glory come from his home on high
To save her from her sinfulness and take her for his bride

Re-evaluating Killinger!

I can't say for sure what the intentions of the Baptist Press were in reporting this story, either for a warning or for promotional value; either way the language coming out of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly in Memphis, is heresy at best, and apostasy at worst. I never thought I would ever hear a so-called minister deny the deity of Christ, and all but call Daniel a liar, but that is exactly what John Killinger has done. Shame on the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship for allowing this man to speak at this event!

Absolutely Exclusive

In light of the recent Davos World Economic Open Forum where Rick Warren was supposed to represent Evangelical Christians, I would just like to share a quote by John MacArthur that Mr. Warren should be aware of the next time he ventures into the world of "Religious Pluralism".

"The idea that the Christian gospel can mix with or blend with any other religious system in any way is absolutely wrong. You cannot mix the gospel with Roman Catholic or orthodox sacramentalism. You cannot mix the gospel with liberalism. You can't mix the gospel with Mormonism, or the religion of the Jehovah's Witness, or Christian Science or any other religion. You cannot mix the gospel even with the religion of Judaism. The gospel is absolutely exclusive. It mingles with no other religion. It accommodates no other religion. In fact, it replaces all other religion. The gospel is absolutely exclusive. Now this needs to be emphatically understood in a time which exalts diversity of belief, tolerance of religion, pluralism, inclusivism and even universalism which essentially says we're all headed the same direction. Now we know there is one God, there is one authoritative book, the Bible. There is one Redeemer of souls, the Lord Jesus Christ. There is one gospel, the gospel of grace and faith. And that singularity of the Christian gospel means that any intrusion that mixes or alters the singularity of the gospel renders it void, nullifies it. It stands alone." —John MacArthur

You Call That a Conference?

Just in case you missed the ground-breaking news in the Baptist Press about 15 pastors from eight states who recently gathered in Jackson, TN because "they have concerns about the growth of Calvinism and the rise of a Willow Creek-style of non-confrontational evangelism within Southern Baptist churches." Sorry but I can not imagine a Willow Creek-style of evangelism ever coming out of a Calvinist church. I also promise that I will never use the words Willow Creek and Calvinism in the same breath again! What is real news to me is that (BP) called this small meeting a conference, WOW. Please take the time to read the entire article and then head over to Timmy Brister's blog as he gives some insight into this SBC summit.

"The SBC media machine, Baptist Press, has a way of making matters “newsworthy” that do not have the merits thereof. There are thousands of church staff who have “conference meetings” with higher attendance than this conference."

Join Church Online!

This church claims that the reason Christ died on the Cross was so that God could have a relationship with you, (I don't even want to go in to that one) but apparently relationships with new church members are optional, as perspective members don't even need to come to church to become a member just join the congregation from the comfort of your home by filling out the online Application for Church Membership. What's next virtual baptism?

Double Talk

I know I am about four days behind on this post but if you haven't taken the time to listen to the October 22nd broadcast of Way of the Master Radio with Todd Friel interviewing Doug Pagitt, emergent church leader and pastor of Solomon's Porch in Minneapolis, MN. You may not want to eat before listening or else it may come back up as you hear what its like trying to nail jello to the wall. You dear folks who attend Solomon's Porch and have to listen to Doug on a regularly basis I have some words of advice for you, RUN away from this man as fast as you can and don't look back your eternal destiny depends on it, not to mention your present sanity. Is it just me or does Mr. Pagitt seem to talk out of both sides of his mouth at the same time?
