Diluted Products

"Listen to the typical gospel presentation nowadays. You will hear sinners entreated with words like, "accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior"; "ask Jesus into your heart"; "invite Christ into your life"; or "make a decision for Christ." You may be so accustomed to hearing those phrases that it will surprise you to learn that none of them is based on Biblical terminology. They are the products of a diluted gospel." —John MacArthur

MacArthur is absolutely correct on this one.

No one becomes a Christian because he or she decided ot do so.

Jesus said in the Gospel of John, "You do not choose me, I choose you."

Nonetheless this type of 'will worship' continues in churches all over the map.

Nice blog, by the way. I look forward to coming back and doing a bit more perusing.

Thanks!

And how do you know whether you are chosen?

1 John 5:12-13 "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
